Growing the wetalk network
Changes aren’t limited to just a handful of my sites (see this blog) but also to a few adsense network sites and the wetalk network.
The wetalk network on it’s main site wetalk.tv (or wetalktv.net or wetalktv.com) is just like vbfans, a network of communities, running on a single instance of vBulletin. Users who register on one community have access to all the communities.
What will happen in 2009 is that we will be growing the network. We will start by adding more social networking tools such as groups, albums, blog, etc and in such a way that it works together with our content. Sharing images and discussing something with fans and friends will be a lot easier.
We will also update our header and footer templates to match the changes. While we fix the style to match upcoming vBulletin versions.
Currently we are offering a main topic “tv” and have expended our site with “movies” and recently with “games”. We also acquired a community about writing, so we’ve added “books”. And we’re working on adding “music” and “sports” soon too. So basically we will have wetalk<topic>.net, such as wetalkmovies.net and wetalkbooks.net
Over the period of 2009 we will be working really hard on adding all the new communities to our network, as well as their forum structure, and of course, their content.
So, it is going to be an exciting year again and we are hoping if you read this and are interested in a specific topic, such as tv, movies, music, etc .. you might just wish to register and start making threads and meet new people.
