Although I tend to blog when the mood strikes me, mostly on my MySpace blog because I don't know where else to put a "web log," I don't blog every day, either. Mine is a public blog, so I don't like cluttering it up with daily "Today is Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008. This morning I stubbed my toe while going to the john in the dark" entries.

That kind of blogging is boring and dreary to me, and because I'm a writer, I am acutely aware that other people are reading my entries. So I try to write either easy-to-digest fare or try what one of my friends calls "shameless self-promotion" by posting some of my online articles (reviews, mostly).

Only on occasion will I "pour my heart out" to vent about the crappy side of life, but I am like leighdu...I don't blog just because it's the "in" thing to do.

I feel the same way when it comes to blogging. Sometimes I feel like writing several times a day, especially when I have a lot of thoughts that I want to get out. But then there are other times when I will not blog for days, and sometimes even months. I see many people that blog daily because they think, just as you say, "It's The New Rock N Roll" ( lol, I like that). That's just so not me though. It comes and goes in waves. I do enjoy reading your blogs though, and I hope you continue !
