Owning Sasha
Before I continue, I want to be perfectly clear: I love Sasha, she’s one of my closest friends on JTV, and after this I am sure we will remain friends.
Back story: That said .. this is the story of Sasha broadcasting last week in her channel, and owning everybody with a Rick Roll. “Oh .. my .. god .. Not my friend Sasha too”, is what I thought and I pormised her in the chat while she was rolling us with a huge ass smile on her face …… that revenge will be sweet.
Now that you have the back story, let’s continue with the planning of an elaborate strategy that results in the below video, which .. was .. totally .. worth .. it. Again, I apologize Sasha, but I can’t have you Rick Roll me!
Even while the video was playing in her channel and I was going “omg!” I already decided to revenge this horrible thing that was happening to me.
Sasha knows I have been hired in the past and now again to set up a few channels for a company that helps brand a few trademarks. Which was the perfect background. I would just tell her that a new artist is in town and that we’ve picked her to help moderate the channel. Oh boy, did she bite.
To get her to bite the bait I of course had to make it interesting, and to make something interesting for Sasha is simply not telling her anything. My only line was “a new channel of a famous person is being created”. The following took place between 7 and 8 pm.
” click, click, hold on guys, click click, I can’t find it, click click, maybe this is it, click, no, click click, hold on guys, click click, I am not paying attention to the chat, click click, click, scroll, click, click, I can’t find it!, click, give me a hint ”
This carried on over to the next day after I barely gave a hint, I let go it was in the music directory. While in the mean time I was playing with anagrams for Rick Astley. Yes Sasha .. Lacy Strike are just the letters that make up Rick Astley. A fake name.
Getting caught
Yes, it almost was all for nothing. When I forgot that I was broadcasting my desktop, while I was working in Photoshop on some new banners and setting up the channel. Thankfully her timing was a bit off and she only saw make the banner, and not the rest. Meaning she just thinks I was doing my work. After this it did not take her long (I’d say within the hour) to find the new channel by recognizing the banner. Oh boy she was gitty. Of course, she idled in the channel, added lacystrike as a friend, and favorited the channel. (I would have done the same hehe).

Executing the pwnage
After some friendly chats with Sasha, and us both casting and skyping, etc. Everything felt like it was back to normal. While in the back of my head I kept thinking “<chuckle> .. she spend at least a few hours trying to find the channel, didn’t realize the name Lucy Strike means Rick Astley and she’s getting excited that she’s going to moderate it.” It was hard to contain myself. That said, I have to admit I slowly started to feel a bit guilty. Because I know what a wonderful person she is. Oh screw that! She rolled me last week!
Time zone differences and what not refrained us from being online at the same time from Friday on. She had to work, I had to work. She was home, I would have to go to a friend, she was sleeping, I was sleeping when she woke up, etc.
But after some provoking chats at like 2 or 3 am at night when she was ABOUT to go to bed, all dressed up in her jammies, I asked her to come on. Because she thought it was a famous artist she wanted to cast too (yes, I poked her into that direction, I apologize) and she went downstairs, fixed her hair and make up and started casting.
As *cough* Lucy Strike I welcomed her and was fake erroring the channel. So I could buy time to set up my recording equipment, prep the video and audio. Have her test it and have her pay attention.
And there you have it: ownage via revenge.
She was looking at the channel, at the black screen, I typed to reveal myself but deleted it prior to pressing submit. And played the video …. and …. wait for it … UH! OH YEAH .. had my revenge.
A dish best served cold .. and oh this was cold of me to do.

Ok guys, knowing Sasha this will now be my last blog post ever, as I am sure she will make me disappear and torture me forever.
